Hi everyone.
As promised I am back today with the first of my CT interviews. I have such an amazing team that I want to showcase them all so I decided to start off with one of my CT leads, Emma (aka Hobbes130).
I've known Emma for quite a while now and we even got to meet up at Disneyworld last October. Her scrapping has gone from strength to strength and she has been rocking my templates !!
Here's what she had to say about herself !
How did you get started and how long have you been digiscrapping?
I am self taught on photoshop and I’ve been using it since for around 8 years but I only found digi-scrapping during the christmas of 2009. I decided to give it a try and I haven't looked back since.
What advice would you give someone just starting out digiscrapping?
Know your program and what it can do, so spend time reading tutorials, join in with the community and take part in challenges as this all helps to learn techniques and tips.. Being self-taught I had figured out ways to do certain tasks only to find out later that there is a really simple and quick way to achieve the same result.
On average, how much time do you spend scrapping each week?
Don’t ask!! Far too much; with me not currently being at work it isn't unusual for me to be on the computer for a minimum of 5 hours and sometimes its much more. My hubby says its double that lol! Perhaps I need to join a 12 step program to get me off my addiction!
What are your scrapping strengths/weaknesses ?
I really lack the confidence to scrap without a template and I cannot get started very easily without one so being on Andrea’s CT is scrapping heaven for me. I also really struggle with my journaling and wish I could think of more to say about my photos for future generations. As for my strengths I rock a multi photo layout and I believe I am good at clustering. I have started to focus on my shadowing skills and this area is improving as a result.
Who or what inspires you in the scrapping community? Any person or site in particular that you look to for inspiration?
Well Andrea of course, her creativity never cease to amaze. I used to scraplift so many of her pages so I am very grateful to her for starting template designing as it has made that a lot easier for me!! As a self confessed disney-aholic I also spend a lot of time over at MouseScrappers and I get a lot of inspiration for my holiday layouts there. I often spend time browsing through the galleries at various scrapping sites and add layouts that use kits or compositions that I love to my favorites.
If you could have Andrea create a template pack just for you, what would it be and why?
I loved Andrea’s All In a Week Template Pack so more like these would be fantastic.
I also want to scrap my pregnancy journal so photoless story telling templates would be perfect for me too.
What is your favorite LO you have ever done for Little Green Frog Designs?
I love them all and it really is difficult to chose just one favourite but I guess I am most proud of this one one photo layouts are not my strength and I just love how this one turned out.
What wish have you not yet fulfilled?
To be slim I have an endless battle with my weight and one day I will be the size I dream I just need to keep persevering to get there. I also have an endless house and DIY wish list that we are slowly working our way through.
If you could spend a day with anyone (dead or alive, famous or not), who would it be and why ?
My great grandparents I am extremely interested in history and to just have the opportunity to sit down with them and find out about their lives, ask them to tell me about the photos that I have and to tell me their stories would be amazing.
If you were invisible for a day - what is the first thing you would do ?
Jump on a flight to Florida and go round the parks at Disney for the day. I would defineitly sneak into some of the behind the scenes areas too and visit the Castle Suite in Cinderella’s castle.
Describe yourself in 4 words :
Friendly, loyal, emotional, funny
What bad habits do you have ?
I am indecisive and I hate making decisions. I let things get to me too much and find it really hard to shake a black mood when I am in one. I also snack too much, chocolate is my downfall and I bite my finger nails eww!
Go check out her gallery HERE for even more gorgeous pages !
I'll be back next week to let you know all about Kim !
